Indian authorities have already seized the headquarters of the All Party Hurriyat Conference in Srinagar and hundreds of houses and properties of Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Syed Ali Geelani Shaheed, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Asia Andrabi and Jamaat-e-Islami. The occupying authorities have also demolished several residential houses, shops, shopping complexes and other properties in the occupied territory.
Seizure of Kashmiris' properties by the occupying Indian administration in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has become the new norm with the aim of forcing Kashmiris to abandon their support for the ongoing freedom struggle. During the operations, they are also continuously destroying the houses of Kashmiris. Demolition of properties, illegal occupation and forced evictions are part of India's systematic campaign to economically devastate Kashmiris.
Modi's sectarian Indian government should remember that India's colonial tactics will never succeed in suppressing the freedom spirit of Kashmiris. India should read the writing on the wall and fulfill its promise to stop its state terrorism and give Kashmiris their right to self-determination.
