MOSCOW: Russia's Vladimir Putin on Saturday apologized to Azerbaijan's Leader Ilham Aliyev for a "lamentable episode" which occurred in Russian airspace including an Azerbaijan Carriers traveler plane that crashed on Wednesday.

Putin called Aliyev as hypothesis developed that Russian air guard might have unintentionally destroyed the plane, which crashed in western Kazakhstan, killing 38 individuals while 28 made due.

Flight J2-8243 crashed in a chunk of fire close to the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan subsequent to redirecting from southern Russia where Ukrainian robots were accounted for to be going after a few urban communities.

The Russian chief didn't guarantee liability regarding crash, while saying 'sorry' to Aliyev that the episode occurred in Russian airspace.

"(Yet again president) Vladimir Putin apologized for the unfortunate occurrence that happened in Russian airspace and communicated his profound and earnest sympathies to the groups of the people in question and wished a fast recuperation to the harmed," the Kremlin said in an explanation.

"It was noted in the discussion that the Azerbaijani traveler airplane, which was venturing out as per its timetable, over and again attempted to land at Grozny air terminal. Around then, Grozny, Mozdok and Vladikavkaz were being gone after by Ukrainian automated elevated vehicles, and Russian air protection frameworks repulsed these assaults," the Kremlin said.

The Kremlin said the call occurred at Putin's solicitation.

Azerbaijan's leader had noticed that the plane had been "exposed to outside physical and specialized obstruction in Russian airspace, bringing about a total loss of control and redirection to the Kazakh city of Aktau," as per Azerbaijan's official office.

The Embraer EMBR3.SA traveler fly had flown from Azerbaijan's capital Baku to Grozny, in Russia's southern Chechnya locale, prior to wandering away from many miles across the Caspian Ocean.

Proclamations by Azerbaijani authorities recommend Baku accepts the plane was hit mid-air, while the US has said it had "early signs" Russian air guard might have been answerable for the accident.
