Shehbaz, Murad Pledge Unity and Cooperation for Sindh’s Development

PM Shehbaz, Sindh CM Murad Pledge to Uphold Political Harmony

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have reaffirmed their commitment to political harmony, mutual cooperation and coordinated efforts for the development and prosperity of Sindh and Pakistan.

During a meeting in Karachi, the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues concerning the province and the federation. Matters related to development, economic growth, law and order, public welfare, infrastructure, employment opportunities and the implementation of development projects came under discussion.

The meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining strong coordination between the federal and provincial governments. Both leaders agreed that political differences should not become an obstacle to public welfare and that all institutions and governments must work together to address the challenges facing citizens.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed that political stability and cooperation among the provinces are essential for strengthening Pakistan's economy. He said that the federal government would continue working with the Sindh government in a spirit of cooperation and consultation to resolve issues affecting the people.

The prime minister also emphasized the importance of accelerating development projects in Sindh. He said that infrastructure, education, healthcare, water supply and other public services should remain among the key priorities of both governments.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, while expressing his commitment to continued cooperation with the federal government, said that the welfare of the people of Sindh remained the provincial government's primary objective. He stressed that better coordination between Islamabad and Karachi could help speed up development and improve the delivery of essential services.

Focus on Development

Both leaders discussed ongoing and proposed development schemes across Sindh. They agreed on the need to ensure timely completion of projects so that the benefits could reach ordinary citizens without unnecessary delays.

Infrastructure development was identified as an important area of cooperation. Better roads, transport facilities, water supply systems and other public infrastructure are considered essential for supporting economic activity and improving the quality of life in the province.

The leaders also discussed the importance of investment and job creation, particularly for young people. They agreed that expanding economic opportunities could help reduce unemployment and contribute to long-term economic stability.

Law and Order

Law and order also remained an important part of the discussion. The federal and provincial governments agreed on the need for continued efforts to maintain peace and protect the lives and property of citizens.

The two sides stressed that a stable environment is necessary for economic activity, investment and development. Cooperation between relevant institutions would therefore remain important in dealing with security and public-order challenges.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the provincial government of the federal government's support in maintaining peace and stability in Sindh.

Strengthening Federal-Provincial Cooperation

The meeting also focused on strengthening the relationship between the federal government and the provinces. Both leaders agreed that regular communication and consultation could help resolve disagreements before they become major obstacles to development.

Political harmony, they maintained, does not mean the absence of differences. Rather, it requires governments to address differences through dialogue and keep the interests of citizens above political considerations.

The leaders expressed the view that cooperation between the federation and Sindh would create a stronger foundation for economic progress and social development.

A Message of Unity

The meeting delivered a broader message that political stability and cooperation are essential for Pakistan's future. At a time when the country faces economic and social challenges, coordination between different levels of government can play an important role in ensuring continuity in development and public-service delivery.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah agreed to maintain a spirit of understanding and continue consultations on matters of mutual interest.

Both leaders reiterated that the people should remain at the centre of government policies and that political differences must not prevent authorities from working together on issues affecting ordinary citizens.

The commitment to political harmony between the federal and Sindh governments is therefore being viewed as an important step toward strengthening coordination, accelerating development and creating a more stable environment for investment and economic activity.

The two leaders concluded the meeting with a shared resolve to continue working together for the welfare of the people of Sindh and the broader interests of Pakistan.
