Karachi: On the last day of the year, the dollar closed at Rs 278.55 per dollar in the interbank market.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the dollar closed at 278 rupees 48 paise in the interbank market yesterday.

Overall, the Pakistani rupee appreciated by 1.17% in 2024.

 In the interbank market, the dollar depreciated by a total of Rs. 3.31 in 2024. At the end of 2023, the dollar was worth Rs. 281.86 in the interbank market.

In the year 2024, the highest level of the dollar in the interbank was 281 rupees 89 paisas, while the lowest level of the dollar was 277 rupees 51 paisas.

In the year 2024, the dollar remained in the interbank band of 4 rupees 37 paise
