The Philippines on Monday cautioned of "serious repercussions" assuming China eliminates navigational floats introduced inside the country's restrictive monetary zone (EEZ) in the contested South China Ocean.
The Philippine Coast Gatekeeper (PCG) introduced five navigational floats last week to stamp its power over the country's EEZ in the South China Ocean — which Manila alludes to as the West Philippine Ocean — in the midst of Beijing's expanded presence in the district.
