According to a report published in the Lancet General, 64,260 deaths occurred in Gaza between October 7, 2023, and June 30, 2024, which is about 41% higher than the official figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health currently puts the death toll at 37,877.

According to the report, 59.1 percent of the dead were women, children, and people over 65 years of age.
