CHAKWAL: No less than 12 individuals — including ladies and youngsters — were killed and 24 others supported wounds after a traveler transport turned turtle on the Islamabad-Lahore motorway close to Kallar Kahar.
As per motorway police, the traveler transport was making a beeline for Lahore from Rawalpindi when it met with a mishap close to Kallar Kahar salt reach. According to the primer reports, the mishap happened because of breaks coming up short, said the police.
In the wake of being educated, police and Salvage 1122 authorities raced to the scene and moved the bodies and the harmed to the clinic.
"Three ladies and two kids were among the dead," said the police.
A representative of NHMP expressed that because of the mishap, two paths of Lahore-Islamabad Motorway were shut, while the third one was open for traffic.
DIG Motorway Police Muhammad Yusuf Malik and area officer directed the salvage activities at the spot. Afterward, the DIG visited ER Chakwal and asked about the soundness of the harmed, said the representative.
A CCTV film of the occurrence shows a vehicle coming from the other way likewise upset in the wake of being hit by the traveler transport. In any case, it couldn't be determined regardless of whether individuals going in the vehicle supported wounds in the mishap.
