Newly elected US President Donald Trump has once again threatened dangerous consequences if the hostages from Gaza are not released.

Referring to his earlier statement on an American radio talk show, Trump said, "That's exactly what it is. If the hostages are not released by the time I take office, there will be consequences."

Trump said, "I'm not sure to go into details. My response will not consist of just telling the enemy, 'Don't do it,' as President Biden has been doing since the beginning of the Gaza war."

He said, "I am with Israel, but I am also with peace."
