Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the United Arab Emirates has decided to roll over $2 billion this month.
Speaking at the federal cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that the meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday was fruitful and investment was also discussed. The United Arab Emirates has decided to roll over $2 billion this month.
Shahbaz Sharif said that unless the price of electricity is reduced, there cannot be development. There are 2-3 options to reduce the price of electricity. We will hold another meeting this week to take the options forward. We will also have to go to the IMF.
The Prime Minister said that SMEDA is the backbone of Pakistan's development and prosperity. The board of SMEDA was not even formed yet, but its board has been completed. Another meeting regarding SMEDA will be held on January 15.
Shahbaz Sharif further said that textile exports have increased, textiles are a huge source of traditional exports, and textiles are our traditional means of promoting exports.
The Prime Minister said that an incident took place after the peace agreement in Kurram and the DC was injured in the attack on the convoy. This is a despicable act to sabotage the peace agreement
