Pakistan is once again among the bottom countries in the list of the most powerful passports in the world for the first half of 2025.

An Asian passport has been named the most powerful in a list released by Henley & Partners for January to June 2025.

According to the Henley Index, the Singaporean passport is the most powerful passport in the world.

Singaporean passport holders can travel to 195 countries without a visa.

The second most powerful passport in the world also belongs to an Asian country, and that is Japan.

With Japanese passports you can travel visa-free to 193 countries.

The passports of South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Finland are jointly in third place, with holders gaining visa-free access to 192 countries.

Passports from Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands ranked fourth with visa-free entry to 191 countries.

Belgium, Portugal, New Zealand, Switzerland and the United Kingdom came in 5th place, and the passports of these countries can provide visa-free access to 190 countries.

Australian and Greek passports tied for 5th place, with visa-free access to 189 countries.

The passports of Canada, Malta and Poland ranked 7th and their holders can benefit from visa-free travel to 188 countries.

The world's weakest passports

Pakistan has been named the 5th country with the weakest passport.

Overall, the Pakistani passport scored 103 points and allows visa-free entry to 33 countries.

Yemen's passport is tied with Pakistan at 103rd place, followed by Iraq (104), Syria (105) and Afghanistan (106).

Somalia's passport ranked above Pakistan at 102nd place, while Nepal ranked 101st, and the passports of Palestine, Nepal, and Bangladesh jointly ranked 100th.

India ranked 85th, China 60th, Iran 96th, while Saudi Arabia's passport ranked 58th
