Pakistan and Kuwait Strengthen Defence Partnership with New Protocol Agreement 2026
Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Kuwait have signed the “Protocol Agreement-2026”, marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral defence and military cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed on Thursday during a high-level meeting involving Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Kuwait’s Minister of Defence Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah. The new protocol builds upon the existing Defence Cooperation Agreement-2023, creating a broader framework for cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Kuwait.
Under the new agreement, Pakistan’s armed forces will provide assistance to their Kuwaiti counterparts in several mutually agreed areas. These include military training, capacity building, border management and other fields of defence collaboration.
The agreement is expected to provide additional opportunities for professional interaction and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
