Dar Urges Full Implementation of Islamabad MoU in Meeting With Iran’s Araghchi

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stressed the importance of the sincere implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, saying that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective path toward regional peace and stability.

Dar made the remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Tuesday.

Dialogue and diplomacy remain essential

During the meeting, Dar and Araghchi discussed bilateral relations as well as the rapidly changing regional situation. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both sides reaffirmed the importance of maintaining engagement and continued diplomatic consultations.
