Islamabad (News advertisment DW December 10, 2021) A senior EU official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said progress in nuclear talks with Iran in Vienna was logical. European nations and Iran continue talks to save the 2015 nuclear deal. According to reports, the parties have a tough stance on many issues in this negotiation process and the negotiators are facing difficulties in resolving the complexities.

A senior EU official told Reuters news agency that a number of key issues remained to be discussed in the talks and that talks could continue until the final stage. The official clarified that the negotiation process was moving forward in a logical manner.

He was responding to a question about Iran's new negotiating team.

He also said that the European negotiations are positive about the future expectations of the Iranian delegation. According to an EU official, there are seven or eight points in the negotiations that are critical to the deal and need to be addressed.
