He further said that Nawaz Sharif has filed an appeal against not getting any further extension and if the extension is not granted then he will have to leave UK. It should be noted that the British government had refused to allow Nawaz Sharif to stay in Britain further.
Nawaz Sharif had requested the British government to extend his visa. The PML-N leader had said that since he was ill, he should not be allowed to stay in the UK till his treatment was completed. Relevant British government agency has rejected the visa extension application of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, denying him further stay in the UK.
It may be recalled here that the passport of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has expired on February 16, 2021, therefore he needs permission of the government of Pakistan to travel to another country. Nawaz Sharif cannot leave Britain for any other country without the permission of Government of Pakistan. It may also be recalled that the former Prime Minister was allowed by the Lahore High Court to go to UK for 4 weeks for treatment in November 2019, however, the deadline given by Nawaz Sharif was not only ignored by the Lahore High Court. On the contrary, after 2 years of going to UK, he has not started his treatment yet.
In this regard, it is alleged by the federal government that not getting treatment even after 2 years is proof that Nawaz Sharif went abroad by lying about the disease.
