SC resumes hearing pleas against audio leaks commission

 Tuesday Jun 06, 2023

ISLAMABAD: A five-part seat headed by Boss Equity Ata Umar Bandial has continued the conference on various petitions documented against the constitution of the powerful legal commission entrusted to ask into the different sound holes of individuals from the legal executive.

The SC seat — which additionally contains Equity Ijaz ul Ahsan, Equity Munib Akhtar, Equity Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, and Equity Shahid Waheed — has taken up four separate petitions recorded by High Court Bar Affiliation (SCBA) President Abid Shahid Zuberi, SCBA Secretary Muqtedir Akhtar Shabbir, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Director Imran Khan and Backer Riaz Hanif Rahi.

All petitions mentioned the zenith court to announce the commission's arrangement unlawful.

In front of the meeting today, Zuberi, submitted to the seat various orders of various high courts, mentioning that these records be considered for "legitimate settlement" of the current case.

These orders included past decisions from the zenith court itself, the Islamabad High Court, and the Lahore High Court.

In the short past hearing on May 31, the central government had asked CJP Bandial, Equity Ahsan, and Equity Akhtar to recuse themselves from the seat, adding that the seat hearing the case be reconstituted.

In addition, the Equity Isa-drove commission, as well, mentioned criticisms over the five-part seat hearing the petitions and presented that it wouldn't be suitable so that the seat might hear the petitions.

The commission presented that the legal board cared very little about the matter other than embraced the task given to it and doing so stringently as per the constitution and the law.
