Leader of the Spanish Football Organization (RFEF) Luis Rubiales apologized for kissing headliner Jenni Hermoso on the lips after Spain won the FIFA Ladies' Reality Cup 2023.
A worldwide response was incited after the 45-year-old Rubiales kissed Hermoso on the lips after she gathered her decoration.
In a video posted on Spanish TV, Rubiales said: "Surely I committed an error and I need to recognize that."

Rubiales on Monday focused on that he had a "radiant relationship" with Hermoso.
In an Instagram live video - a clasp of which was shared by Spanish writer Irati Vida on X, the Spanish player said: "Hello, I could have done without it, eh," while responding to inquiries concerning the occurrence.
Hermoso talked about the kiss on Sunday on the radio program 'El Tiempo de Juego' on Cadena Adapt, saying "she didn't anticipate it" yet that "it was a result of the feeling existing apart from everything else, there's nothing more there.
