World Cup 2023: Australian great names Pakistan among four semi-finalists

 Sunday, August 20, 2023

Previous Australian cricketer Greg Chappell has anticipated the four groups which will fit the bill for the semi-finals of the Global Cricket Board (ICC) Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to happen in the not so distant future in India.

In a new discussion with RevSportz, the Aussie anticipated that Pakistan, India, Australia, and Britain would meet all requirements for the semi-finals of the competition.

"With this respect, it's in India right now. I figure the four groups to look for me, India clearly, Australia, Britain, and Pakistan, presumably the four best groups. However at that point the other Asian groups make their mark since it is in India, yet I will adhere to those four at this stage," Chappell said.

It should be noticed that 10 groups will battle for the tricky title across 10 scenes from October 5 to November 19, with the competition opener and last to be played at the Narendra Modi Arena in Ahmedabad.

The Cricket World Cup will be played in the cooperative organization with all groups playing against one another for a sum of 45 association matches.

The main four groups will meet all requirements for the elimination rounds, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. The semi-finals and the last will have save days.

Here is Pakistan's timetable for the ICC World Cup 2023:

October 6 - versus Netherlands in Hyderabad

October 10 - versus Sri Lanka in Hyderabad

October 14 - versus India in Ahmedabad

October 20 - versus Australia in Bengaluru

October 23 - versus Afghanistan in Chennai

October 27 - versus South Africa in Chennai

October 31 - versus Bangladesh in Kolkata

November 4 - versus New Zealand Bengaluru (Day match)

November 11 - versus Britain in Kolkata

The day matches will begin at 10:00am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) while any remaining matches will be day-night apparatuses beginning at 01:30pm (PST).

Assuming that Pakistan meet all requirements for the semi-finals, they will play in Kolkata.

Assuming India fit the bill for the semi-finals, they will play in Mumbai except if playing against Pakistan, in which case they will play in Kolkata.
