It was one of many attacks in the district since Friday in which a police constable was injured. Gunmen targeted Gul Imam Police Station in Tank.
According to details, armed gunmen attacked the police station, leading to a shootout between the policemen and the assailants. The gunmen then fled the area.
Police constable Waheed Gul was injured in the gunfight that lasted for an hour. He was taken to the district headquarters hospital in Tank.

On Friday, at least six people were killed and over 30 injured, including two policemen, in a blast targeting a police van in DI Khan's Tank Adda area.
The vehicle was on its way from Ijaz Shaheed police lines in Dera Ismail Khan town to Kulachi tehsil when it was hit by a remote-controlled blast.
A senior police official said explosives were planted in the motorcycle. The victims were reportedly civilians who were passing through the area when the attack took place.
Experts from the Bomb Disposal Unit said that five to six kilograms of explosives were used in the blast, which severely damaged the police van.
Pakistan is facing a daunting challenge of terrorism in the last year as there have been several incidents of terror and violence recently.
The Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) said in a report released in October that security forces lost at least 386 personnel in the first nine months of 2023, an eight-year high.
In the third quarter of 2023, about 445 people lost their lives and 440 were injured in up to 190 terrorist attacks and counter-terrorism operations.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan were the primary centers of violence, accounting for nearly 94% of all deaths and 89% of attacks (including terrorist incidents and security force operations) recorded during the period.
