Australian hitter Usman Khawaja gets some genuinely necessary help from his captain Pat Cummins right after the continuous debate around his perspectives on Israel's conflict unfurling in Gaza.

Cummins has named Khawaja's perspectives "not hostile" and a bid to point out the helpful emergency.

The Australian commander's help for his partner comes a day after the Worldwide Cricket Committee (ICC) denied Khawaja consent to utilize a harmony image on his bat and shoes during the Boxing Day match against Pakistan.

The cricketer was seen donning a sticker on his bat and shoes showing a dark pigeon holding a peace offering and the words 01:UDHR — a reference to Article One of the General Statement of Common freedoms — during a training meeting in front of the subsequent Test match.

The 36-year-old, a Muslim, was halted from wearing shoes decorated with the transcribed trademarks "Opportunity is a basic freedom" and "All lives are equivalent" during the main Test in Perth.

The ICC said they spurned rules on messages connect with governmental issues, religion or race.

"We truly support Uzzy. He's supporting what he accepts and I believe he's done it actually deferentially," Cummins told correspondents just before the Test in Melbourne.

"As I said last week, 'All lives are equivalent', I don't believe that is extremely hostile and I'd say the equivalent regarding the pigeon.

"That is Uzzy. I figure he can truly hold his head high with the way he's gone about it.

"In any case, clearly there's rules set up and I accept the ICC have said they won't support that. They make up the guidelines and you must acknowledge it."

Khawaja wore a dark armband during the Perth Test and was condemned by the ICC, yet demanded it was for a "individual deprivation" and not politically spurred.

Last week, he talked about what the Israel-Hamas struggle had meant for him.

"While I'm taking a gander at my Instagram and seeing honest children, recordings of them biting the dust, dying, that hit me the hardest," he said.

"I have no plans other than attempting to focus a light on what I feel actually enthusiastically, actually firmly about."
