New Delhi (Urdu Point Latest News advertisement - APP. 05 December 2023) The Delhi High Court requested the death penalty from India's infamous investigative agency NIA to give the death penalty to the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is imprisoned in Tihar Jail. The next date of February 14 has been fixed for the hearing. According to Kashmir Media Service, the High Court on Tuesday directed Superintendent Jail Koyasin Malik to appear through video conferencing.

In August this year, the High Court directed Muhammad Yasin Malik to be produced from Tihar Jail through video conferencing as per the production warrant. Earlier, on May 29, the High Court amended the order of Yasin Malik's appearance in the court and ordered him to appear in personal custody. Instead of presenting it, it was ordered to present it through video conferencing.

Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment on May 19 last year in a so-called funding and freedom activities case.

Judge Praveen Singh of the NIA court sentenced Yasin Malik to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10 lakh. On May 10, Muhammad Yasin Malik refused to defend the charges against him in the NIA court, realizing the bias of the Indian judiciary. The NIA had challenged the court order of life imprisonment of Yasin Malik and requested to increase the sentence. It should be noted that the Modi government of India wants to get the death penalty against Muhammad Yasin Malik in the false case filed decades ago in order to win the general elections next year.
