Muslim countries should cut ties with Israel instead of calling for ceasefire in Gaza: Iranian Supreme Leader

 January 24, 2024

Tehran: Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has asked Islamic countries to cut ties with Israel instead of calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to foreign media, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said in a statement that the demand for a ceasefire in Gaza by Islamic countries is misleading.

He said that Muslim countries should refrain from advocating a ceasefire because it is beyond their control, but all Islamic countries should take the measures that are in their power.

Ali Khamenei said that Islamic countries should sever their political and economic relations with the Zionist government and not support this government.

It should be noted that since October 7, more than 25,000 Palestinians have been martyred due to Israeli aggression, including a large number of children and women.
