Azerbaijan's president reacts strongly after Putin apologizes for plane crash

 December 30, 2024

Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, reacting to his Russian counterpart's apology for the plane crash in Kazakhstan, said that we saw clear attempts by Russian authorities to hide the facts in the plane crash.

According to foreign media, regarding the Azerbaijani passenger plane that crashed in Kazakhstan on December 25, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the plane was the target of a Russian attack.

In response to Russian President Putin's apology for the accident, President Ilham Aliyev said that our plane was accidentally shot down, but unfortunately we saw clear attempts to hide the truth of the plane crash and for the first 3 days we heard only ridiculous things from Russia.

It should be noted that on December 25, an Azerbaijani passenger plane crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, killing 38 people and injuring 29.

Three days after the accident, Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, admitting that the plane was shot down by mistake. However, the Kremlin had previously said that the plane had crashed due to a bird strike and changing its route due to bad weather
