Melbourne Test: India defeated by Australia, what is the situation in the points table of the World Test Championship?

Australia defeated India by 184 runs in the fourth Test match in Melbourne.

Chasing 340 runs, the Indian team was bowled out for 155 runs, giving Australia a two-one lead in the five-Test series.

Australia scored 474 runs in the first innings, in response to which the Indian team scored 369 runs. In the second innings, the Kangaroos were bowled out for 234 runs, giving India a target of 340 runs to win.

The final Test of the five-match Test series between Australia and India will begin in Sydney on January 3

Australia's chances of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) have brightened after their success in the Melbourne Test.

WTC Points Table Status:

Australia moved to second position on the points table after the result of the fourth match played between Australia and India in Melbourne.

India's points average decreased from 55.88 to 52.78, while Australia's points average increased from 58.89 to 61.46
