A 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Tibet has caused several buildings to collapse and 95 people have been confirmed dead so far.
According to international media reports, severe earthquake tremors were felt this morning in the Tibet region of China, the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, and the northern and northeastern regions of India.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the magnitude of the earthquake in China was recorded at 6.8, with a depth of 10 kilometers, while the epicenter was in Tingri County, Tibet.
The earthquake struck at 9:05 a.m. local time in China. Several aftershocks were also recorded after the Tibet earthquake.
The Chinese news agency has confirmed that an earthquake in Tibet's Tingri County caused houses to collapse and 95 people were killed, while several others were reported injured.
Chinese media say this is the most dangerous earthquake to hit the region in five years.
According to reports, the earthquake also shook buildings in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and the magnitude of the earthquake in Kathmandu was recorded as 7.1.
On the other hand, the magnitude of the earthquake in the Indian state of Bihar was 5.1.
