According to an ordinance issued by the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi, the Rehmat-ul-Ulameen Authority will consist of a chairman and six members. The Advisory Board of the Committee shall meet at least once on a quarterly basis.

According to the official definition, this authority will conduct research on Sira-un-Nabi and Ahadith to build the character of the youth. In addition, the authority will consult with relevant experts to make the biography of the Prophet a part of the curriculum and will be tasked with explaining Islam to the world.
