In a message on social media website Twitter, Jemima said that 33.3 million people in Pakistan have been affected by floods, every third Pakistani is under water due to floods, one out of every seven people have been affected.
He further said that 2,000 people have lost their lives due to floods, one-third of the dead are children. He appealed to please help the flood victims. It should be noted that the government has collected 1 trillion 30 billion rupees from various countries and international organizations for the flood victims.
The United Nations member states including World Bank, Asian Development Bank, World Health Organization, UNICEF, Red Crescent and Red Cross have responded positively to the government's appeal.
While China, Turkey, America, United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and other countries have announced immediate aid.
