Initially, I thought that the flood this year was less intense, but I When I visited with my colleagues, I felt that this is a completely different situation, I visited Sindh and Balochistan, yesterday I went to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I can say that the current flood situation in the country is the worst in the history of Pakistan. Is.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that millions of people have become homeless due to floods, more than 1 thousand people have died, including 300 children, thousands of people have been injured, and around 1 million animals have died. , the standing crops were completely destroyed, all the palm trees, cotton and rice crops in Sindh were destroyed. He said that people have become homeless in Balochistan as well, they need food, medical aid, drinking water, the government of Pakistan, provincial governments and rescue organizations such as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the Pakistan Army are helping people. Determined to provide relief, these institutions have moved thousands of people to safe places, yesterday a young man was rescued by helicopter.

He said that infrastructure has been destroyed all over Pakistan, about 3,500 kilometers of roads have been damaged, hundreds of bridges and underpasses have been destroyed, there is no electricity in many cities, our ministers, secretaries, Pakistan Army and Engineering. The staff is in the field to repair all the cables, roads and bridges. Three days ago, Quetta's ground connection with Sukkur city was completely cut off. In just 36 hours, the officers restored the connection with great effort.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that due to this, we are facing a problem in accessing the basic necessities of life, we are facing a situation that I have not seen in my entire political life, we are providing all the resources for relief and rescue. Bringing the car, the rehabilitation phase is very difficult, at this time we are providing tents, mosquito nets, drinking water and treatment facilities to the victims.

He said that we have appealed to our brothers and sisters all over the world, I am grateful to all the countries that supported our appeal for help. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that some countries sent relief goods via rail to Istanbul.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that yesterday we decided that the National Flood Response and Coordination Center will ensure the speedy implementation of all our decisions, it will keep in touch with the provincial disaster management authorities, and coordinate the relief operations. It will plan the rehabilitation program as well as liaise with the donor agencies.

He said that I firmly promise that under my supervision every single penny of the aid money will be used in a transparent manner and every single penny will go to the needy. Influence will not work, this is the commitment of our team to the people, donors and supporters of Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that we will spend the money of the development projects for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
