ISLAMABAD: After China, other countries have diplomatically isolated India - which is hosting the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Indian Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in violation of international law by abstaining from the summit.


On Friday, China said it would not be part of the G20 meeting scheduled for today (May 22) because it does not support holding any conferences in the occupied territories.


"China is firmly opposed to holding any form of G20 meeting in disputed territory. We will not participate in such meetings," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said.


Following in the footsteps of China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, they indicated that they did not want to participate in the meeting and skipped its registration.


Turkey has consistently shown leaning towards Pakistan in the Kashmir dispute and has raised the issue at various international forums.


Meanwhile, all political parties and freedom fighter groups in IIOJK have also announced that they will observe a complete strike in the held valley today.


A press release announced that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control would observe a shutdown on May 22, while anti-India protests and rallies against the planned UN-designated G20 meeting would be held in all capitals of the world. disputed territory of IIOJK.


The call for strike and protests was jointly issued by the Hurriyat All Parties Conference and the political leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.


Bilawal in AJK to express solidarity with Kashmiris

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari arrived in Muzaffarabad on Sunday on a three-day visit to express solidarity with Kashmiris against India's violation of international laws by hosting the G20 meeting at IIOJK.


“India cannot suppress the voice of Kashmir through the conference. By violating the UN resolution, it is not possible for India to play an effective role in the world,” Bilawal told the media on the occasion.


Bilawal said he was invited to address the ADK rally when India was hosting the G20 meeting in occupied Kashmir. Those who think they could suppress the voice of the people of Occupied Kashmir by holding the conference would be proved wrong, he added.
