ISLAMABAD: The Political decision Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday held its decision on a request looking to ban Imran Khan from standing firm on the footing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) director because of his conviction in the Toshakhana case.


Albeit the appeal was documented on October 3, Imran ruled against challenging the ECP-ordered intra-party surveys for the post of party administrator and handpicked Gohar Ali Khan to lead the party because of his exclusion in Toshakhana case and other legitimate difficulties recently.


Lawyer Gohar was formally chosen as the PTI boss unopposed in the intra-party surveys hung on December 2.


During the conference today, PTI legal counselor Shoaib Shaheen said the request had become infructuous as the party has chosen its new administrator.


He said they have presented a record of the intra-party surveys to the ECP and the matter ought to now reach a conclusion.
