Islamabad (Urdu Point. News advertisement. December 13, 2023) Political analysts say that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has replaced Shivraj Singh Chouhan with a new chief minister in Madhya Pradesh, the country's main state. Mohan Yadav's election is not only surprising but also a message to senior party leaders not to take any issue lightly.
Chouhan was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for almost two decades and the party had won the Assembly elections by a landslide but the top leadership of the party preferred Mohan Yadav over him.

A son of a tea seller, the RSS approves
It should be noted that after becoming the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi has been proudly announcing that he used to sell tea at Vadnagar railway station in Gujarat as a child. However, various circles have been expressing doubt on this claim.
The Hindu Nationalist Party can now also point to Mohan Yadav as another success story of a poor and backward family member belonging to the party reaching high political positions.
Women are becoming the king of Indian politics
According to Mohan Yadav's daughter Dr. Akansha Yadav, he had a family of small farmers. "My grandfather Poonamchandra Yadav was a small farmer and had a small tea and bhaji shop in Malipura area. Through hard work, he educated all his children."
Relationship to conflict
Mohan Yadav hails from the city of Ujjain, which is considered highly communally sensitive and has seen frequent incidents of Hindu-Muslim tension.
Yadav entered politics by joining the student body of the BJP. He is also known for his inflammatory speeches against Muslims. His hard-line stance towards Hindutva brought him close to the RSS and he became the approved face of the Hindu nationalist organization.

In 2020, the Election Commission of India banned him from campaigning for "using obscene language in violation of decency". A video of him threatening to "bury his opponents in the ground" went viral.
Elected to the state assembly three times and former education minister of the state, Yadav holds a doctorate in business management and law. His research topic was, "An Analysis of State Media Attitudes towards the BJP Government of Madhya Pradesh".
