Trump's $5 million fine upheld in sexual harassment case

  December 31, 2024

Washington: A US court has ordered the fine against President-elect Donald Trump to be upheld in a sexual harassment case.

According to foreign media, a federal appeals court has ordered the upholding of a $5 million fine against Donald Trump in a sexual harassment case.

It should be noted that a New York jury convicted Donald Trump of sexually harassing writer and journalist E. Jane Carroll in a Manhattan department store in 1996 and fined him $5 million after a 9-day trial last year.

Trump denied the charges and appealed the decision, which was rejected by a federal court.

The court has previously ordered Trump to pay Carroll $83 million in a separate case
