At the end of the first day of the Multan Test, Pakistan scored 143 runs for the loss of 4 wickets against the West Indies.

The first session of the first day of the Multan Test between Pakistan and the West Indies was lost due to fog. After the lunch break, the toss was possible, which Pakistani captain Shan Masood won and intended to bat first, but this decision did not prove to be a good one.

Four players, debutant Mohammad Harira, Shan Masood, Kamran Ghulam and Babar Azam, reached the pavilion for just 46 runs. On a pitch apparently prepared for spinners, three out of the four players were dismissed by West Indian fast bowler Jaden Sales, spinner Gowda Kesh got one wicket.

Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan batted cautiously for the fifth wicket and took the team's score to 143 runs for four wickets in a quickly ending game. Both of them also completed their half-centuries with a partnership of 97 runs.

Saud Shakeel is at the crease with 56 and Rizwan with 51 runs.
