Chaudhry Nisar's differences with Nawaz Sharif were also due to his resistance statement. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan contested the 2018 general elections with four seats, two in the National Assembly and two in the Provincial Assembly. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan lost two National Assembly seats NA-59 and NA-63 and Provincial Assembly seat PP-12, while Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan won the Provincial Assembly seat PP-10 but Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan neither took oath in the Punjab Assembly nor participated in the polling process for the election of Speaker Punjab Assembly.
It is worth mentioning here that in a statement, senior politician Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had said that he was a founding worker of PML-N which was sidelined by Nawaz Sharif while some of them passed away. He said that taking oath on the seat of provincial assembly was tantamount to spitting.
