Senior US official visits India, discusses Indian conspiracy to kill Sikh leader

 Wednesday 6 December 2023

Washington (Urdu Point Latest News - NNI. 06 December 2023) A high-level delegation led by US Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer has visited India, where he planned to kill a Sikh leader on American soil. Talked to the authorities on the issue of New Delhi's involvement in the ban. According to Kashmir Media Service, the White House said in a statement that John Finner met with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval in New Delhi.

White House spokesman Matthew Miller said during a press conference on Monday that John Finner appreciated the importance of India setting up a committee to investigate the plot to kill the Sikh leader and bring those involved to justice.

Last week, the US Department of Justice said that an Indian government official had ordered the killing of separatist Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu on US soil.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is the leader of a movement called Sikhs for Justice. He holds the citizenship of the United States and Canada and is an active leader of the Khalistan movement. According to the documents of the US Department of Justice, the Indian official hired Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta to arrange the killing of the Sikh leader, who was paid one hundred thousand dollars. Out of which 15 thousand dollars was given as advance payment.

Nikhil Gupta is currently in custody in the Czech Republic facing charges of murder, conspiracy and fraud in the US and will be brought to the US soon. It came at a time when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said two months ago that there was evidence of India's involvement in the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nagar.
